AYDN was founded by Sara Rivera and Ryan Shaer after spending years around dance, wellness, and product development.
Sara has spent more than 23 years in dance and holds a Master’s in Dance Education from Rutgers University. Through that experience, she saw firsthand how much time dancers spend in leotards and how important fit, comfort, and movement are in class.
Ryan’s background is in entrepreneurship, brand building, and product development, with a strong focus on health, quality, and attention to detail.
When we began developing AYDN, we wanted to create dancewear that met a higher standard. To help us get there, we worked with technical designers with experience on Project Runway and the New York City Ballet, an organic apparel consultant who helped build one of the largest organic cotton clothing brands in the U.S., and a dancewear expert with more than 20 years of retail experience.
Our goal is simple: better materials, better comfort, and dancewear designed with real dancers in mind.

This leotard became my daughter's favorite the moment she put it on. She says she feels like she's dancing in a cotton ball. She can easily move and feel great while doing so.
Dancer or not, this leotard is great. I wear it mostly as just a piece of clothing in my closet because it styles so easily, looks amazing and feels even better. Can’t wait to get more.

LOVE this leotard! The second I put it on, I was obsessed — the fabric is unbelievably soft and genuinely feels like butter against your skin. It hugs in all the right places while still being super comfortable and easy to move in! I’ve been looking for a brand that’s actually committed to sustainability and organic materials without sacrificing style, quality, or comfort, and AYDN checks every box. It feels so good knowing I can wear something this beautiful while supporting a brand that’s intentional about what goes into its clothing and its impact on the planet. The fit is PERFECT! For reference, I’m 5’2”, 110 lbs, and wearing an XS. If you’ve been searching for elevated, sustainable dancewear that looks amazing AND feels even better, this is IT!
This is the first new leo I’ve bought in years. So many options are synthetic, expensive, and uncomfortable. This leo feels so soft, comfortable, and fits my body well. It hugs but doesn’t cling. For reference I’m 5’ 10”, 140lbs, and the size L is perfect for me. I can’t wait to teach my next class while wearing this <3 I hope they add more colors soon!!
